Here are a few things we offer to make that possible:
Join a group of same-aged teens, led by adults who will walk with you on your journey and guide you towards the Truth, Goodness and Beauty that is the Catholic Faith. Small Groups generally meet 2-3 times per month on Wednesday evenings but have the flexibility to meet more or at different times to meet the needs of its members. Small Groups are the backbone of High School Ministry because they allow real friendships to develop over time while living the Faith together. Check out the trailer for Small Groups!
The Church teaches us that man “cannot fully find himself except through a sincere gift of himself” (Guadium et Spes, 24). Through serving our neighbor, our teens consistently experience this sense of discovery, fulfillment, and joy. Several times throughout the year, High School Ministry comes together to pray and serve our local community.
The hustle and bustle of everyday life makes it essential that we “retreat” from the world from time to time in order to hear the voice of God speaking to us. There are several opportunities for teens to do this throughout the year. Retreats take place in a variety of places, times, and address different topics throughout the year.
Our parish invites teens to begin preparing for Confirmation beginning in the Spring of 8th grade with the aim of receiving Confirmation in the Fall of 10th grade. Contact Doug Ulaszek to learn how to begin the process.
