“Praise the LORD! Praise God in his sanctuary… Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals… Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!” -Psalm 150
The Saint Christopher Parish Music Program is comprised of a dynamic group of parishioners who enjoy praising God through song. We encourage you to consider being a part of this rewarding ministry. We welcome all musicians at all levels. Please take a few moments to review the opportunities listed below and join us for great music.
Parish Choir Rehearsals
The Parish Choir is off until autumn. Watch the bulletin for an announcement for details on the start of the choir season.
- 6:30 – 8:00 PM
- 8:30 – 8:50 AM (warm-up in the Parish Center)
- 9:00 AM (Mass in St. Andrew Church)
The choir rehearses weekly and sings at the 9 AM Mass, for feast days, and for other special events. We sing a wide variety of music, from contemporary selections to traditional chant. Stop by a rehearsal on Thursdays, 6:30 to 8:00 PM in the St. Andrew Choir Loft to hear what we’re all about!
Children’s Choir Rehearsals
The Children’s Choir is off until autumn. Watch the bulletin for an announcement for details on the start of the choir season.
- 4:15 – 5:00 PM
The Children’s Choir rehearses weekly and sings at designated times, Masses, and special events. Children of any age are welcome.
Musicians can add beauty and splendor to the hymns sung during the liturgy and to the overall mood of the service. You can play along with the music selections for the Mass and prepare an instrumental piece of your choice.
Cantors lead the congregation in singing the service music. As a member of the Cantor Corps, you can really make the music your own for a Mass. One-on-one coaching is available if you are interested.
